Impact of Exelon's GHG Efforts

By 2022, the cumulative impact of actions associated with Exelon's new GHG reduction goal, combined with Exelon's continued focus on clean generation and customer energy efficiency programs will avoid more than 700 million metric tons of carbon emissions. That's nearly the same as saving one million acres of trees from deforestation for six years.

Focus Areas for Exelon's GHG Reduction Targets

Exelon commits to a 15% reduction in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from their internal operations. The new goal targets the 1.1. million metric tons of GHG emissions associated with internal operations as of 2015, and aims to achieve the 15% reduction by 2022.
